Back to This Charting Thing

So here's the plan:
  • 80 mg Vitex twice a day
  • 500 mg Metformin twice a day
  • sticking to low GI diet, lots of fruits and veggies every day and no sugar (God help me)
  • exercise
  • and hopefully this all leads me to OVULATE.

::::Blows off dust and cobwebs:::::

Oh, hi there. I've seriously neglected this little blog. In an attempt not to make my self crazy, I had to take a bump break. It's a year since I first started back on birth control and put off baby making for a myriad of reasons. First to get my ovaries back to healthy and normal, and then to get the rest of our life in order, like buying our first home and settling into a new job. Of course if I know you from the bump, you already know all this. ;)

Anyway, I'm back. Why now you ask? Here's the story, it's not very good or very profound, but still. December was hellishly busy for me, I work for a small importer now, and I had no idea what retail was like during the holidays. When you're company is small even admin is slammed with a million extra things to do, and the entire staff (and staff other than sales have a strict mon-fri gig) had to work weekends or forgo bonuses. We're all still pretty pissed, although I'm sure we'll get over it when we realize we have a pretty sweet set up the rest of the year.

In the midst of the chaos I called cvs to refill my otho evra, and saw that the pack said 1 refill remaining before December 31st. Well shit, one more thing to remember, RE appointment, time off of work, blah blah. Then I thought to myself....it's been a year since I've been back on this stuff? Was DH still cool with "Spring 2010" to TTC again? So I asked him what he thought. We both decided a couple cycles (God willing) with just met and vitex (and of course a clean ovarian slate thanks to the BC) couldn't hurt anything. After this last BC cycle I'm just going to be charting to see if I O. Seriously if I could manage to O on my own without Clomid that would be freaking fantastic. I originally called to make an appointment with my RE before starting all of this, but after speaking to him on the phone, he said there was no need to rush in as long as I make it in before the end of February for my yearly, and we would assess the old egg cartons then. Basically, going into this again knowing what I know now, me, DH and my RE feel better about it. Hopeful even...weird.

So that's that. Going back to the old sn since it's working again and keeping the new one in wait (just incase the bump gets ban happy.) See you around the interwebs.

We made it

I really can't believe it's been a year already, and then looking back at everything that's happened since last September I feel like it's already been 10.

Please enjoy this lovely pic of use "eating" our cake topper last week at the lake.

Countdown to new job....4 days

Animated Pictures, Images and Photos

I am more than thrilled!! Of course, since I announced my new job offer and gave my two weeks notice, it has been incredibly awkward around my office. With just me, the boss lady, (who you all know is just a little narcissistic ....read, incredibly narcissistic...) and our unpaid-makes-his-own-schedule intern who isn't as much help as she expected, things were bound to be a bit tense.

I find it incredibly vindicating and hilarious that my boss continues to tell me what an inadequate job I'm doing everyday, but keeps asking me to stay on longer. She is very upset that anything "solidified" for me on the job hunt before August, because she is going on a week and half long vacation at the end of July. Yep, apparently she thinks I should plan the future of my career around her beach vacation. Of course I would love to stay at this dead end job where I am treated like dirt each day so that you can take vacation time! Why wouldn't I want to continue doing your job for you and getting paid a third of your salary and no commission for my sales efforts? Oh wait, I'm sorry "OUR" sales efforts, as you love to say any time the numbers are down. LOL, so yes, I don't really care enough to hide my excitement! Let her be upset that she actually has to do some or the leg work for a change.

She spent the first few days of my last 2 weeks acting like I was leaving out of the blue, while at least 2 months before this I informed her that the commute from the new house was just going to be too much and that I was going to try to find something closer. We're a very small operation and in order to find a new job while still being professional, I had to be honest and not spring a "Hey I got a new job see you later" kind of thing. I also went on all my interviews at the beginning or ends of the business day so I would only have to take an hour here and there out of my work week, which she was happy about.

For now I am just handling all the flack as demurely as possible, because with one foot out the door what else is there to do? If I had wanted to up and quit, make a huge scene and go out in a blaze of glory I would have done it by now.

But that said, I have completely checked out today. So far none of the new interviewees for my position have worked out, and I'm getting the guilt trip because of all the added "stress" that is causing my boss so close to vaca. Please note that she is one of the very few AE's who have an assistant, and the rest of them all take vacations and let the head office cover their clients. So the guilt-ing effort is wasted on me. I'm pretending to edit my old marketing materials for the new assistant to use and bumping/blogging/not actually working the rest of today.

My parents are coming down Saturday and it should be nice relaxing weekend before the end of an era. I'll need it, I'm sure that the next 3 work days here will be the longest of my life!

I'm a mommy

To furbabies! :D

Please excuse my haggard appearance, and I promise I'm wearing pants. This is about 9:30 last night and it had been a manic Monday even before we went to pick up the kittens.

We have been incredibly busy the past few weeks with the house, work, (more interviews for me, still waiting on the results of some) and being overloaded by visitors. It's great how just because you're "all moved in" everyone seems to think you're also ready for company. ::eye roll:: I wanted to kill my IL's the other weekend.

It's been quite an adjustment with the much longer commute, the different schedule, and obviously the different responsibilities. Hopefully the long commute will be over soon, pending a second f/u interview on Thursday morning! But anyway, on to the fun stuff!

We adopted two little kitties from a local shelter. They place all the animals they can in foster homes so they are well socialized and house trained. (I would definitely recommend!!)

I will update with the big homecoming story later, crazy neighborhood kids included. But for now just wanted to let everyone know they are already loving their new home and settling in just fine. Oh yeh, and AW their cuteness!
